Volunteers make the world go 'round.....
Well at least here at Suburban Little League they do. It is a Herculean effort to organize, schedule, maintain, and execute our baseball and softball seasons every year. We could not do so without the spectacular volunteers we have had over the years. Unfortunately each year we have a handful of boys and girls who age out of the Little League program, and we therefore lose their parents as well.
We encourage everyone with a child in our league to get involved.
We don't ask for hundreds of hours of volunteerism, just a few over the course of the season. Whether it be handing out programs on opening day, helping orchestrate team pictures, emptying a trash can, coaching, or even just lining the fields - every little bit helps.
For some of the more challenging roles (grass cutting, coaching, umpiring) we will not simply leave you to figure it out on your own. We have several volunteers that have been here long enough they no longer have kids in the league. They will be more than happy to show you the ropes and serve as a mentor throughout the year.
The league needs YOU in order to be successful, the CHILDREN need you to lend a hand, the BOARD needs the hear your input to ensure we're satisfying the needs of not only the boys and girls, but also of you and the rest of the family.
